12.A participant may be disqualified on grounds that include, but are not limited to, unlawful, obscene or inappropriate actions, fraud, dishonesty, misappropriation or infringement of the intellectual property of others and/or any failure to comply with the HackWithInfy terms and conditions.
1.Each participant shall participate through a single HackWithInfy account. Please note, the company in its sole discretion may disqualify any participant who participates/attempts to participate in the event through multiple HackWithInfy accounts.

Can I participate alone or do I need a team?
If I get shortlisted for the Grand Finale, will Infosys sponsor travel, accommodation, food and other expenses?
HackWithInfy is a single-participant event in Round 1 and Round 2. In the Grand Finale, you would be required to be a part of a team. The details about forming a team would be communicated to the finalists when they are present at the venue for the Grand Finale.

16.Participants shall indemnify and hold the company harmless from and against any third-party claims arising from any act committed by any participant during the event.
Does one have to be online and available for the entire duration of HackWithInfy?
Can we take up the challenges from mobile platforms?
It is a part online and part offline event. The first two rounds will be online and the Grand Finale will be held at Infosys Pune campus.
Participation in HackWithInfy is absolutely free. Infosys does not charge any fee at any stage of the competition. Your college/university/institute also cannot charge any fee to register students for HackWithInfy as per our strict guidelines. However, the students need to be from the participating list of colleges/universities/institutes only. To check if your college/university/institute is in the participating list, please contact your placement office.
Top 5,000 participants in Round 1 will qualify to compete in Round 2.
14.The participant agrees to immediately notify the company in the event that he/she becomes aware of any unauthorized use of any participants identity or any other breach of security related to the event.
17.Infosys considers that by sharing your personal information for registration to HackWithInfy you have provided consent to the company for collection of personal information. Participants personal data will be processed in accordance to applicable local data protection laws. The company shall destroy participants personal data upon the revocation of participants consent to use such data. No personal data will be given to third parties without the express permission of the participant with the exception of Infosys sharing your name and email address with HackerRank to process your participation in HackWithInfy. If you have any objection to sharing your personal data with us for the event or if you would like to withdraw your data and registration from HackWithInfy contest, please write to us .
19.Participant agrees that any pictures taken within the course of the event may be used by the company for future promotional, marketing, publicity, and recruitment purposes, and participant waives any claim to remuneration for such use.
After each round, participants who have successfully cleared the round would be informed of the results through email. They will also receive guidelines for the next round. We would also be sharing this shortlist with the respective colleges/universitites/institutes.

Round 2 (July 23, 2018) Online challenge, individual participation
20.Subject to the terms and conditions set forth here, the event grants the participants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to access the event site and the content therein. The participants agree not to interrupt or attempt to interrupt the operation of the event website in any manner.

An individual applicant or team participating in Infosys Limiteds (company) HackWithInfy (event) shall be referred to as a participant or participants. By registering to participate in the event, the participants acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as HackWithInfys terms and conditions).
How will I submit my entry in the online rounds?

Round 1 (July 9, 2018) Online challenge, individual participation
The results will be updated on theHackWithInfy website. Also, the candidates proceeding in the hackathon will receive an e-mail communication from us with the details of the next round.
Will I receive the results of the challenge? If yes, when?
21.The participant may not download, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, duplicate, or publish any information present on the event website. Any unauthorized use of the event website or its contents shall lead to termination of the access granted by the company.
HackWithInfy is an extraordinary initiative for students to inculcate the culture of rapid problem-solving and innovative thinking from early on. It not only provides the perfect stepping stone for students to explore their passion for programming, but also an opportunity to compete and earn a chance to work with Infosys.
We concluded the hackathon on August 20, 2018, with three teams comprising 15 students winning the competition.

100 finalists from Round 2 will get an opportunity to compete in the Grand Finale, at Infosys Pune, and a pre-placement interview for thePower Programmerrole. From the subsequent set of top scorers from Round 2, more than 500 participants will get a pre-placement interview opportunity for the Systems Engineer and other roles.
2.Participation in the event is free and no registration fees will be charged before or after the event.
11.All data sets or platforms made available by the company to participants during or in connection with the event shall remain the sole and exclusive property of the company. The data sets and platforms should not be stored, reverse-engineered, copied, deduced, extracted, or replicated in any manner or medium whatsoever by the participants.
HackWithInfy is a programming competition open for the pre-final year (2019 batch) students from all disciplines from select colleges/universities/institutes. Engineers (BE/B. Tech/ME/M. Tech) from all disciplines as well as MCA, M. Sc. (Computer Science/Electronics/Mathematics/Physics/Statistics) are eligible to apply.
Yes, Infosys will sponsor your travel tickets, accommodation, and food to make it convenient for you to compete in the Grand Finale at Infosys Pune campus.
13.The company shall not be liable to participants for any damages or claims that might arise or occur during or in connection with the event.
15.Participant acknowledges that data transmission over the Internet or any data storage system is not completely secure. The company does not take responsibility for the security of content and subsequent use of the content submitted by the participants through the HackWithInfy account.
4.Each participant must register for the event by communicating their interest to the placement office of their respective college/university/institute by filling in relevant application and providing the information needed. Incomplete, false, erroneous, fraudulent, forged, and tampered information will not be accepted and will be disqualified.
3.Participant is a student of select colleges/universities/institutes to whom this challenge is open. If the participant is not from any of the select colleges/universities/institutes, then he/she shall be automatically disqualified from the event.
Shortlisted participants for the pre-placement interviews would receive confirmation emails with all the necessary details.
8.The event entries will be judged by a Judging Panel. The Judging Panel shall select the winning entry/entries for the event within its sole and exclusive discretion. The decision will be communicated to the institutes and the same would be published on our event website.
9.Participants represent and warrant that the assets used or developed during the event do not infringe on the intellectual property or proprietary rights of any third party, including, without limitation, any third party, patents, copyrights, or trademarks.

The HackWithInfy hackathon will be conducted on a specific platform. There would be options to choose from the list of common programming languages and submit your solution.
How would we get intimation for the pre-placement interview?
What will happen if there is an issue with my computer or Internet connection during the contest?
Also, over 500 top scorers from Round 2 will get an opportunity for a pre-placement interview for Systems Engineer and other roles at Infosys.
18.The participant shall not transfer their rights to access to another person unless they have obtained explicit consent from the company in writing to do so.
22.The company reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time on its discretion. Your continued use of the event site after the posting of any amended terms and conditions shall constitute your agreement to be bound by any such changes.
Where can I view the solutions for the problems of this challenge?
6.For the online challenge (Round 1 and Round 2), participants must register as individuals and complete the challenge in the stipulated time.
The competition is open for select colleges/universities/institutes in India. Please check with the placement office of your college/university/institute. If your college/university/institute has received HackWithInfy invitation from Infosys, then you can register by giving them the details required for nomination.
Top 100 participants from Round 2 will compete in the three-day Grand Finale to be held between August 18 to 20, 2018 at Infosys Pune campus. They will also get an opportunity for a pre-placement interview for the role ofPower Programmer. Infosys will sponsor the travel for the participants of the Grand Finale. Each Grand Finale participant is advised to bring their own laptop with necessary software for the event.
10.If and when a participant is declared a winner, the participant must acknowledge and agree, in consideration of entering this event, that (a) he or she will not develop or submit the same or similar entity in any other competition, or similar event organized by any third party, and (b) all intellectual property rights in the entries submitted by such participants shall vest exclusively with the company.
