Software Engineering Intern Interview

I was referred internally, and a recruiter got back to me within 24 hours. The first step was two autograded coding challenges on Codility, 1 hour total, which was pretty easy (question difficulty was equivalent to their demo test). Just be careful because the autograder can be very picky. After that, I got a 45 minute phone screen and three on-site back-to-back 45 minute interviews through Skype. The interviews werent too bad, but the difficulty of your questions really depends on your interviewer. I did fine on interviews 1 and 3, but completely flubbed up on interview 2.After my last round of interviews on Wednesday afternoon, I received a rejection from Twitter Friday morning.Good luck to anyone else trying at Twitter!

How to Become the Candidate Recruiters Cant Resist

Submitted my resume and cover letter online. Got contacted in a few days. Gone through 2 Codility questions, and 2 phone screening before I got an email saying they are moving forward with other candidates. Questions were surprisingly easy and I had some pleasant conversations with the interviews so was very surprised to find out that I didnt make the 3rd round.

Applied on the webiste, within a week got an email from a recruiter asking me to take a Codility test. If I remember correctly it was two hours for two questions, and they were extremely easy. Took less than half the time. Then, got an email asking for a 45 minute technical phone interview. Less than a week later, had the interview and again fairly easy. Asked two algorithm questions using Collabedit to share code. Next day, email that they want to schedule two Skype interviews. 2 days later had them back to back, 45 minutes each. Each interviewer asked one technical question (again using Collabedit) and then asked about projects and what I was interested in. Harder than previous questions, but still fairly straight forward. Next day, got an email saying I had offers from two teams, and had to talk to the hiring managers to choose a team.Best part: was not required to fly out to their office for an interview. Sounds fun but is always a pain.
